Last week I attended I know Somebody Houston’s Video Voila event. I knew right away it was an event I would be attending since I make weekly videos for my blog. In the recent months I’ve heard so much talk about the importance of video marketing for your brand and business. It’s true! Everyone loves video, this is why Snapchat has been such a hit with most people in my opinion.
At this particular event speaker, Marian LaSalle, from Agendy258, http://agency258.com/, shared with us how to create videos on our Facebook pages using a tool that is already built in and that is super easy to use. “Humans want to see movement,” Marian shared with us. Even if you’re not tech savvy I do believe anyone can learn this technique.
With this tool you simply select pictures you currently have on your phone and then Facebook puts them together in order to create a fun video! There are a few extra features it includes such as adding theme music and being able to tag people that are in those pictures you’ve selected. The event was very interactive since at the beginning Marian had us stand up and take photos first in order to create a video on the spot. Who doesn’t love a selfie! Especially when you have a room filled with inspiring women. There was plenty of laughter and hugs filling the room.
One of my favorite parts of the IKSH events is that at the very end, Elizabeth, the founder of IKSH, asks the ladies if anyone has a need. In this particular event we had authors, coaches, and healers share with us books they had written and events they were having. That is the true purpose of IKSH, to have women connect and be able to support each other.
I’ve attended several of IKSH’s events this year and there has never been times were I don’t leave with a new connection. That is what I love about these events. Not only do you leave with some new found knowledge but most importantly you have gained new friendships, which otherwise you may have never had.
